Our story
The Dewhurst family have lived in Fairwarp on the Ashdown Forest for over 20 years. We planted our small vineyard in an adjacent paddock in 2020. We are a small, family run business, tending our vines by hand, with great care and attention to detail.
Our goal is to produce wine as sustainably as we possibly can, making as little impact to the beautiful environment that surrounds us.
Our first harvest came in 2023. This has produced a delicious, clean, crisp and fragrant still white wine, which we are proud to offer for sale here on our website and at our vineyard from the cellar door. We are now avaiable in local farm shops and some local pubs and restaurants.
We are now open for tours and tastings in our new barn, which can be booked by email, phone or through our website here.
Look out on our Instagram for any local events we will be attending and feel free to drop in to the vioneyard in Fairwarp, try our lovely wine and have a chat with us.
Sustainability
Our approach is focussed on ethical practices and low intervention, being as kind to the environment, land and soil as possible.
We are certified organic and use no pesticides or herbicides. We operate a zero-till policy, this improves soil health, reduces soil erosion and increases organic matter within the soil.
Our bottles are made from 75% recycled glass and all of our packaging is plastic-free. Bottle labels are printed on recycled paper. The bottle caps are made from biodegradable wood pulp.
We operate and encourage a bottle return scheme, re-using bottles as many times as possible. If you purchase online please return it to us if you can. Let us know by email or phone if you need any help finding us.
